Viral Insanity of Chelsea Claims Yet Another Victim.

Willie Nelson – who never lived in the Chelsea as far as I know – is releasing a new album, titled Songbird.  The album is produced, however, by former Chelseaite Ryan Adams, and contains a song, “Blue Hotel,” which Ryan wrote for Willie. on Oct. 31^st of this year.

Ryan was our neighbor when we lived on another floor back in the 90s.  We didn’t talk to him much, and he mostly just stayed in his room.  Only rarely did I ever hear his guitar. But there was someone living above us at that time who insisted on playing The Willie Nelson Christmas Album over and over ad nauseum at high volume with his window open.  I always wondered if this maddening experience influenced Ryan’s musical development in anyway.  And now I know.  (Ed Hamilton)
