The Hotel Chelsea lobby is decorated for the holidays with a beautiful christmas tree and a lovely menorah. However, we don't have pictures of either to show you. Instead we have a crappy picture of one of the tree ornaments. The ornament is a fake black and white Polaroid of Bob Dylan when he wore a younger man's clothes. The picture is fittingly signed by a fake Dylan with best wishes to our esteemed proprietor, Stanely Bard. Surprisingly, the picture actually remained hanging on the tree for at least a week or two before it was stolen.
The second crappy photo is of a holiday poster that was taped to the wall of the elevator for several days. What you can't see clearly in the image is that above Mary's head is the word "David" (as in Bard). Mary/David is wielding a knife in her hand as she hovers above Baby Jesus. Baby Jesus is labeled "Timor" on the poster. Timor is the night porter. What's that all about in the season of good cheer?
