The Jewish Museum features the first ever major museum show devoted to former Hotel Chelsea resident Sarah Bernhardt, "Sarah Bernhardt: The Art of High Drama." The exhibit continues until April 2.

Chelsea Hotel resident Ed Hamilton will participate in the Bowery Poetry Club's New Year's Day Spoken Word/Reading Marathon. The event runs from 2:00 p.m. to midnight, but Ed is scheduled to read sometime between 10:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight.  Admission is free.  Bring canned goods for City Harvest or paperback books for Books Behind Bars.
