Portraits from Eternal Bohemia

Artist Elizabeth Peyton held her first major solo exhibit here at the Hotel Chelsea in 1993 (Room 828).   She has just published a book of paintings, "Elizabeth Peyton Paintings." A review of the book in the recent issue of Publishers Weekly notes, "...Her portraits—whether of Edwardian poet Rupert Brooke, Prince Harry or her friends—seem to emerge from the same timeless, eternal bohemia that the (Chelsea) hotel exemplifies."
