Arnold Weinstein, librettist for the opera A View From the Bridge and lyricist for William Bolcom's Casino Paradise, will premiere a suite as part of The Medicine Show Theatre. (Arnold has been doing this for a while, on June 12, 1961 his satire The Red Eye of Love premiered.)

The Historic Costume & Textiles Collection at Ohio State University has an exhibit of rare works by former resident and designer Charles James. If you can't make it to Ohio, at least check out the online exhibit. (I previously blogged about my boyfriend coming across James' drafting table during a dumpster diving session. Too bad he didn't find one of these lovely dresses.)
