Neten Chokling Rinpoche, director of Milarepa: Magician, Murderer, Saint, will give a talk and hold a preview of the new film at The Shambhala Meditation Center of New York on September 6 at 7 pm.
The film, in Tibetan with English subtitles, was shot in the incredibly beautiful Lahaul-Spiti Valley region between Tibet and India. Based on the life of the legendary Tibetan saint, Milarepa sets out to crush his enemies with black magic and sorcery. After realizing the consequences of his actions, he tries to undo his karma.
The film opens at Cinema Village on Friday, September 7th.
